Because you are shy

Blushing pink, purple, gold

When I tell you this

A sunset across your cheeks

Reaching

As you wane into night

Your heart weeping

Moon-brimmed constellations

Of unsaid words

Like starlight

Arriving eons too late

Far after our goodbye
